Life in Bangladesh

I was born in Sylhet, Bangladesh. For the first few years I lived in a village called Umerpur and went to the local school for a year. The main event that I could remember from my parents is that, I drowned in our pond. While I was playing with my friends they told me to get some water from the pond. While I was at the pond I slipped into the water. My friends told one the neighbor, so she came and saw me drowning in the middle of the pond, so she jumped to rescue me. After the rescue, they took the waters out of my stomach. At that time I was unconscious. After that in early 1983 I moved to England. Click here to read about my life in England

In February 20th 1986 we all came back to Bangladesh. I went to Blue Bird High School, Sylhet as soon as I came to Bangladesh. I loved my School days. I had a friend Shalauddin living near my house. We used to walk to school and back together. After Lunch, we used to go and play either football or cricket with the local boys. Shalauddin had a motorbike, so sometimes we used to drive up and meet at school yard in the evening after school. At times we used play football or cricket and then jump at the school pond. Below are few pictures from Bangladesh.

One has to be there for 6 years to complete the course. I only stayed there for 3 years.
